At WillUnite, we respect our users’ rights to control their personal information. This Account Deletion Policy explains how users can delete their account and what happens to their data after deletion.

WillUnite is a global Islamic inheritance and asset distribution platform that enables users to organise their assets and inheritance in accordance with Islamic principles. As the platform may contain sensitive financial and personal information, we follow strict procedures when handling account deletion.

1. Deleting Your Account

Users can delete their WillUnite account directly within the WillUnite mobile application.

To delete your account:

1. Log in to the WillUnite app

2. Navigate to Account Settings

3. Select Delete Account

4. Confirm your request

 

Once confirmed, the deletion process will begin.

2. What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted

When your account deletion request is confirmed:

• Your WillUnite account will be permanently deactivated.

• Your personal information will be removed from our active systems.

• Any inheritance plans, wills, assets, or other stored data associated with your account will no longer be accessible.

• Certain data may be permanently deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

Please note that account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

3. Data Retention

In some circumstances, WillUnite may retain limited information where necessary to:

• Comply with legal or regulatory obligations

• Maintain necessary financial or audit records

• Prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues

• Enforce our legal agreements

Any retained data will be securely stored and kept only for the minimum period required by law.

Account deletion requests are typically processed within a maximum 30 day timeframe after the request has been confirmed.
